Early acceptance of "Luxuray" Illuminators has been immediate and certain, so of course we proceed to change it. Observing that some existing illuminators have means to direct light from "quadrants", we made one very small change to enable that feature on ours. Substituting the retaining nut from the dual assembly for the single one, and adding a bearing bronze wire spring, allows rotation of the single array to any incident angle whenever desired. This is especially nice for inspection applications, showing subtle shadows of surface features.

All models, even the duals, will now include the spring to enable this assembly arrangement.

We trust this improvement is sufficient to violate the maxim, "Don’t change it!"
